_VLADIMIR IVKOVIĆ (Offen Music__Salon des Amateurs__DE)

Resident at a place that gained reputation for being one of Europe's capitals for open-minded selectors and where the love for music dominates over big egos or sporadic trends, Vladimir is one of the key figures to shape the unique and resonant atmosphere at the "Salon" in Düsseldorf. He is also the mastermind behind the the newly established Offen Music, an imprint born out of the desire to put the spotlight on the forgotten studio archives of the late "Mitar Subotić a.k.a Rex Ilusivii" a pioneer of electronic music from the former People's Republic of Yugoslavia. The release will be followed by "Toresch" a project consisting of Detlef Weinreich (Tolouse Low Trax, Kreidler), Viktoria Wehrmeister (Mexico-born sculptor and artist who also played in the band "La! Neu?") and Jan Wagner (Visuals, director of the Filmwerkstatt in Düsseldorf), that turned our heads upside down on the first sight and will leave any premature "End-of-the-Year-List" obsolete, when hopefully hitting the shelves at the end of December.
We are happy to welcome Vladimir at our upcoming AW edition and highly recommend to save your physical and mental substance, because this will cause heavy cerebral activities and probably opens up your mind like a shamanic ceremony deep in the Amazonian rainforest.
