Hekura Rec Berlin – Wien connections
Schoeneberg (live)
is raised and nourished by echoes from clubs in Berlin - a bastard child of electronic sounds and grunge. It can cause synaptic flickering and sudden boosts of joy. Dany and Valquire met coincidently as strangers at an otherworldly happening in Berlin-Schöneberg and decided - overwhelmed by the energy of floating naked bodies and by the magic of all-embracing appreciation - to kick off a journey of music together, through all genres, without boundaries [œ].
Mala Herba (live)
is a solo project of a sound artist and queer music activist Zosia Hołubowska. Based on traditional music, magic and demonology of Eastern Europe, Mala Herba explores queerness and sex- positivity. Powerful, witchy vocals are weaved into hypnotic beats, cold base lines and romantic synthesizer melodies. There's something gothic and dramatic to it but nevertheless "this" makes you dance. Sometimes the melody cracks, the voice becomes a magic spell and the song transforms into a noise soundscape. But then the arppegio kicks back in and your bones resonate with the italo- disco inspired bass and rhythm.
Andras Eichstaedt
great passion is modular synthesizer based electronic music. His musical career began in the Eastern European underground at the legendary illegal Ill-Fest in Budapest’s subway stations where he gained local and international acclaim as a live act Wizkid. Today he resides in Vienna where he continues to pursue his activites as a modular synth performer and builder.
