Since 2015,Basstrace has been dedicated to sharing, celebrating, and cultivating the true roots of dubstep in Vienna. As a nonprofit cultural collective, Basstrace provides an alternative to the mainstream by focusing on sound system culture, deep bass, and authentic expression.

For this session, Basstrace proudly presents two true pioneers of dubstep: Youngsta - one of the earliest champions of the sound, FWD>> resident, and the DJ who introduced some of the genre’s most iconic anthems; and SGT Pokes - the unmistakable voice of DMZ and co-creator of the legendary Croydub sessions. Together, they helped shape dubstep into the global movement it is today, and their presence represents the very essence of trueschool culture.

By bringing these pioneers to Vienna and pairing them with local and international talents. chrysalide and Yves from Vienna’s sugar slip collective, as well as international dubplate prodigy WZ from Czech Republic - united for a night of deep bass and true sound system vibes.
