Klub Halal X Wiener FestWochen

Klub Halal presents an evening shaped by the lived realities of our community.
As a collective of immigrants and refugees from the SWANA region,
we invite you to a space dedicated to the recognition, celebration, and collective grief of queer and trans individuals who have found their way to Vienna.
This night is an exploration of the duality we carry: the identity we grew up with and the one we are actively building in our new lives. Given the profound sorrow and shifting political landscapes across our home regions—from Syria to Palestine, Lebanon, North Africa and beyond
we recognize that "celebration" cannot exist without first acknowledging our pain.

The Venue: A Vessel of Memory and Movement
The Badeschiff serves as more than just a location; it is a metaphor for the refugee journey. For many, reaching Europe involved the sea—a site of transition, immense weight, and the memory of a difficult crossing. By anchoring this event on a ship, we honor the salt, the water, and the emotional toll of arrival. Yet, a ship also represents movement. Just as a vessel pauses before continuing its voyage, our journey as immigrants continues here in the city we are now building our lives within.

ليلة مستوحاة من واقع مجتمعنا. كَتجمع أسسه مهاجرون ولاجئون من منطقة جنوب غرب آسيا وشمال أفريقيا (SWANA)، ندعوكم إلى مساحة مخصصة للاعتراف والاحتفاء، وأيضاً لمشاركة حزن جميع اللاجئين والمهاجرين من الكوير والعابرين/ات جنسياً الذين قدموا إلى فيينا.تأتي هذه الليلة كرحلة لاستكشاف الهوية المزدوجة التي نحملها: الهوية التي نشأنا عليها، وتلك التي نعيشها الآن في حياتنا الجديدة

ونظراً للظروف الراهنة في أوطاننا — من سوريا إلى فلسطين، ولبنان، وشمال أفريقيا وما حولهاً

حيث يتصدر المشهد السياسي والاجتماعي حالة من الحزن العميق والظلم، ندرك تماماً أنه من الصعب البدء بـ "الاحتفال"
لذا، نخصص هذه الليلة أولاً لتكون مساحة للإقرار بآلامنا وتحدياتنا، فمن خلال هذا الاعتراف فقط، يمكننا الوصول إلى لحظة احتفاء حقيقية

المكان: سفينة الذاكرة والعبور

تعتبر سفينة البادشيف الاستعارة الأمثل لهذا المفهوم. فهي تتجاوز كونها مجرد وسيلة نقل فوق الماء، بل ترمز لثقل رحلة اللجوء نفسها. بالنسبة للكثيرين في مجتمعنا، كان الوصول إلى أوروبا عبر البحر؛ فالسفينة هي موقع للعبور، ولألم هائل، وذاكرة لرحلة شاقة. اخترنا أن نرسو بفعاليتنا في تلك الذكرى — الملح، والماء، والعبء العاطفي للوصول. ومع ذلك، تمثل السفينة أيضاً الحركة؛ تتوقف قليلاً ثم تواصل مسيرها. هكذا هي رحلتنا كمهاجرين ولاجئين — سفينة
تآن هنا في فيينا، المدينة التي نبني فيها حياتنا الجديدة.
