__Jacky Murda__ (London, UK/US)

American performing producer based in London UK, whose music presents a fusion of reggae motifs and vocalists with jungle, dub and bass music. Founded collective and label Chopstick Dubplate in 1998. Other colaborations include JingBong Ting with Max Powa starting 2007, Itchy & Jacky with Itchy Robot in 2010, and production for Congo Natty starting in 2012. Jacky gained notoriety recording and producing ragga-jungle at his disc cutting studio in Brooklyn NYC. Well known releases produced for Chopstick include "Soundboy Gone" featuring Jah Mason, "Worldwide Traveller" featuring Top Cat and Mr Williamz, and "Buddy Bye Teng" featuring Johnny Osbourne.

Productions on other labels include "Murdarer" featuring Barrington Levy, "Cool Me Off" featuring Levi Roots and Mikal Rose, and remix of Congo Natty's jungle classic "Jah Sunshine" featuring Tenor Fly and Frankie Paul . Currently working out of his London studio with longtime colaborator Aries, Jacky has focused on UK based performers for recent Chopstick Dubplate material, working with artists such as Mr. Williamz, Cheshire Cat, Demolition Man and Top Cat. Originally known for dj performances featuring exclusively home-cut 10” acetates, time spent exploring in the studio lead to development of Jacky’s current live show, a journey through reggae and jungle combining analog dubbing philosophy with modern digital.

__Nãnci and Phoebe X Wu-Lu__ (London, UK)

Nãnci Correia and Phoebe Hibbert aka Irondread are the underground sensation at the fore front of the return of this generations Jungle sounds. Their fresh take on hosting DJ sets breaks all genre conventions creating a new eclectic sound, mixing hip-hop flows, powerful and provoking lyrics, booming bass lines and stringent bluesy harmonies.

Urban online magazine Who’s Jack wrote that Nanci’s “powerful pipes [to] rival those of Adele and Florence Welch”. Phoebe’s lyrics encapsulates urban living, spiritually relating to, and engaging, a wide politically, emotionally aware audience. Since 2009, based in Brixton South London, the pair have been working as close as a family unit with Congo Natty aka Rebel MC – who brought us the sounds of Jungle back in the 90′s – representing a unity that ignores racial, age or social barriers.

In January 2011, MTVBase added Nanci Correia’s release with Congo Natty, Tenor Fly and Daddy Freddy, ‘Get Ready’ to their video playlist, with their single also receiving prime time airplay from Radio 1 veterans Annie Mac, David Rodigan and Mista Jam. Their work in the studio over the past year coupled with their continuously strong presence in the underground bass music community, has flared even more anticipation for their upcoming release ‘Notorious’.
