VLADIMIR DUBYSHKIN is a name on everyone’s lips in the continually expanding electronic music realm. Frequently experimenting with genres, both lovers of noise electronics and those who go to parties to simply dance will find him equally as enticing. As a part of Nina Kraviz’s well-known трип label, the enigmatic Russian producer and DJ has taken leaps and bounds with a series of memorable performances. These have been propped up by his abilities as a producer – examples of which being shown in one of his latest EPs - Pornographic Novel
An homage to the 90’s Russian porn phenomenon, Dubyshkin’s music is refreshingly peculiar. The 6-track release provides a delightful combination of groove-embedded basslines, uplifting vocal samples; accordion sounds of the sea and the sharpest of snares. Genre classification is something the Russian proudly defies, and this latest entry into a quickly expanding discography aptly represents the true breadth of his productive talents.

MARIE MONTEXIER’s preferred format as a DJ is vinyl, a crucial part of why she began DJing and collecting music. Curious about genres and styles, multi-eclectic influences informs her sound. Her sets, mainly based on breakbeat and big on UK flavour, are global melting pots where genres and edges blur; oldskool acid, tribal-scented beats and trippy techno merge here. Marie brings a twisted quirkiness, lightening up a sometimes harsh-sounding corner of the scene.
Although new in the industry, Marie Montexier’s hard work has not gone by unnoticed: during her debut year of 2019, she was selected “Newcomer of the Year” by German music institution Groove Magazin, an honor for any artist. Since then, Marie went on to play venues across Europe, including the likes of Light House Festival, Berghain and Fabric, and currently holds a residency at internationally renowned party Warning, taking place in Berlin.
