Magnetude:
What is a story without a plot? A journey without a destination? A movie without a soundtrack? A song without emotion?
These questions carve out Rustam Mansurov and James Peacock’s unique dynamic signature as Magnetude, an act with one of the most distinctive, exciting and dramatic sounds in contemporary drum & bass.
Both sharing rich histories in music – Rustam was playing piano aged 9, James was playing violin aged 12 – they’re both heavily inspired by the importance of detail, orchestral dynamics and story-telling in music and moved by composers such as Ennio Morricone, Danny Elfman, Amon Tobin, John Williams and Ilya Beshevli.
Their story began in 2012 when they met on the label Close 2 Death and evolved into a much stronger energy when they collaborated together in 2015. By 2016 the ‘Hyperdrive’ EP was born and presented to the world on the highly regarded imprint Lifted Music.
Quickly appearing on prominent imprints such as Eatbrain, Renegade Hardware, Viper and RAM Records, their music has featured on games Project Cars and Freaked Fleapit, and between them they’ve performed at events from Creamfields to Let It Roll, Pirate Station to XOYO. Most recently, they’ve co-founded the forward-thinking, community-minded collective Evolution Chamber alongside like-minded fusionists Task Horizon and Receptor.
Reminding the scene of the importance of strength in numbers and how the best things happen when people come together. The plot thickens, the journey continues…

Samuel Smith aka Upgrade, is a respected drum and bass producer and DJ from Norwich, UK. Known for his signature Jump Up sound, he has made a name for himself with high-energy tracks that dominate DNB raves wordlwide. Since emerging in the early 2010s, he has released on top labels like Low Down Deep, RAM Records, and Crucast.
His tracks, including Blow, Popular, and Propper, showcase his knack for heavy basslines and bouncy drums. Upgrade’s music is a staple in the UK club scene, with performances at major venues like London’s The Steel Yard and festivals worldwide.
Beyond his solo work, he has collaborated with top artists such as Sub Zero and Basslayerz, further cementing his influence in the DnB community. His DJ sets are packed with seamless mixing and high-energy transitions, making him a fan favorite.
With a growing global following and consistent releases, Upgrade remains a key player in shaping the future of Jump Up drum and bass and we are psyched to welcome him as our headliner!
