// AJA___
Using unsettling noise, distressed screams, hand-‐made electronics and found objects pushed through pedals, Aja Ireland’s industrial beats and distorted drone are her very personal, physical interpretation of the contemporary condition.
Aja has been producing genres an array of genres from grind noise to techno for the past 5 years. Before focusing on her new solo projects, she was living and DJ'ing in Berlin and playing in the noise ensemble Batalj. Taking inspiration from the Berlin noise scene while developing her sound she returned to the UK to launch her new live performance project, challenging the audience by breaking down barriers and pushing limits sonically and visually.
Recently influenced by artists like Puce Mary, Emptyset and Pharmakon who are exploring the boundaries between industrial and noise.

// GRINDER TEETH
Grinder Teeth the moniker of Norwegian Veslemøy Rustad Holseter is a multimedia artist and musician living in Berlin. Her interdisciplinary live performance & sound art works explore themes of gender and sexuality as they relate to current day feminism and cultural ideology. In 2015 Holseter completed studies in Live Electronics at the Norwegian Academy Of Music, following a Bachelor in Music production at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, and has previously presented work at Berlin Kunstfabrik HB55 (2014,) National Jazzscene, Oslo (2015) and Multitest, Vienna (2015). Since autumn 2015 she has taken up residency in Berlin, where she is running intersectional feminist show ‘HEX BITCH’ on Cashmere Radio, while simultaneously playing live and dj’ing around Europe.
Grinder teeth utilizes live improvisation through Ableton Live and Max Msp to build reverb soaked, layered soundscapes with noisy trip hop-‐beats in the likes of Vessel, Forest Swords and Jenny Hval. Her Debut EP ‘Memory Of Flesh [[KIME]]’, an opus for voice and live electronics set for release on Berlin label Freudian Slit Autumn 2016 marks a new, darker direction in her work, exploring metallic instrumentation through themes of gender, desire and hypersensitivity.

// PURE GROUND
Pure Ground is a minimal industrial/wave duo formed in Los Angeles in the Spring of 2012. Making use of a great assortment of analog and digital hardware, Pure Ground creates hard electronics teaming with rhythmic white noise and unsettling melody as the backdrop over which the group explores lyrical themes of present-day dystopian realities, sleeplessness and the supernatural, and the eventual triumph of the natural world over a human civilization in rapid decline. Not limited to music composition, the band also makes forays into analog video work, much of which can be seen projected onto them during live performances and in album art.
To date, Pure Ground has released two LPs, four cassettes, three vinyl singles and a 20 minute VHS. Their next full-length LP, “Giftgarten”, will be released on LP (Avant! [EU] & Chondritic Sound [US]) and CD (Sleepless Berlin) on September 1st, 2016 to coincide with their third tour of Europe.
