With Sonic Territories Extended, the festival for sound art will host two evenings at the rhiz Vienna with progressive sounds.
On April 6 & 7, 2022 electronic sounds and experimental techno by local artists will be in symbiosis with atmospheric streams from international sound artists.

Budapest based Rozi Mákó has a classical and jazz background as a pianist and began exploring music at an early stage of her life. She found herself doing all kinds of music related projects: composition, sound design, experimental music improvisation and djing. She focuses on connecting with her audience through the phenomenon of music to invite them into an unrepeatable moment by creating a unique atmospheric experience through improvisation.

Chra is the Moniker of the Viennese producer, author and radio/TV presenter Christina Nemec. After a period of experimenting with low frequencies and noise effects, chra started to work with sine waves processed through tape recorder and other analogue and digital tools to allude to landscapes, territories, silence and extraordinary and extreme situations. She is also a member of Shampoo Boy and PASAJERA OSCURA and runs her own queer and feminist music label comfortzone.

Subletvis is the online moniker of sound artist and composer Mo Nahold. His work focuses on digital alienated aesthetics, various electroacoustic methods and multichannel approached composition techniques in specialized environments. Abstract sound encounters stand in contrast to conventional rhythmic structures and harmonic content, in order to close gaps between sound aesthetics of different musical convictions. Nahold has released music on Ventil Records, Parken and Denovali.

Tony Renaissance is a musician and artist whose work centers on radical soft explorations of sound, vocals and images with a big crush on experimental pop. As founder of the music label Tender Matter, co-founder of the event series The Future and member of the Sounds Queer? collective they are promoting and highlighting the work of queer and gender nonconforming artists in electronic music.

Producers, DJs, club promoters and queer activists Nina Hudej and NinaBelle are recognized and creative co-creators of the current Ljubljana music scene. Their political charge, activist enthusiasm, the active co-creation of the club scene and the reactions to phenomena in modern society are wrapped in the fabric of their prodigious electronic project Warrego Valles. After their 2018 breakthrough “Botox” debut, the artists released the second long-run edition “Save As” in 2019 with their hometown based independent net label Kamizdat.
Playful DJs and producers are distinguished by the intense exploration of side runs of club and experimental electronic music, and an immense passion for developing self-expression. In a unique interweaving of sounds and styles, they are balanced with rhythm and melody, with dance beats, experimental games and melodic inserts, they tune the tension and trigger relaxation, and they are pushing for engagement and responsiveness.

Selena Pommes is the update of techno DJ/producer and former Maschinenraum co-organizer lena:k. Pommes steps freely but consciously through post club rave hardcore hyperpop genres with a good intuition what vibes with her audience. Still with techno passion in her heart Pommes is mixing wild through everything that tingles her musical senses. More genres, less mixing, more diversity and less consistency. Selena Pommes will touch your heart and leave a big stain of ketchup on your sweatshirts.
