DJ Johnny Yen started his career in 2004 with Italo/Electro/Wave club nights and rave parties in a former pedestrian underpass in Vienna.
His vinyl-only DJ-sets follow the tradition of David Mancuso, Daniele Baldelli, Beppe Loda and Ron Hardy in mixing various styles like Leftfield-, Balearic-, Afro Cosmic- and Italo-Disco with (Proto-) House, New Beat, EBM and Techno, both old and new records.
As a supporter of the scene he has been organizing and curating the Disco Frisco events as well as the Disco Frisco DJ mix podcast series since 2009.
