Berlin based label Schakal’s second release ‘Minos’ is a collaboration between producers Mallone and Arne Spremberg and includes a remix from Finnish veteran Sasse. The EP is centered around the theme of electricity, with Arne and Mallone jamming together on analogue gear to create a charged dancefloor energy. The pair have been friends for many years and their connection is palpable.

On the A-side ‘Minos’s Detroit influenced drum machine pattern is met with a soaring synth-line that slowly builds to an epic crescendo throughout the track. ‘Sasse’ is on remix duties lending his experienced touch to the tune, stripping things down and adding yet more percussive energy. ‘Tesla’ the second track on the B-side is a more downtempo affair with well-placed stabs maintaining a bouncy groove before building to an emotional climax.
